Krishna, Alan Wiuker is a direct disciple of Swami Vishnu Devananda, the founder of the international Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers, who initiated him in Yoga and Vedanta philosophy, connecting him with the different branches of the vedic spiritual sciences like ayurveda, classical Indian music, and latter on to Jyotish, vedic astrology.
Krishna is a teacher at the Sivananda Ashrams and centers for more than 20 years.
He is part of the teachers team of the Yoga teachers training courses held internationally at the different Sivananda Ashrams, which make him travel extensively.
He has taught yoga, meditation, vedanta philosophy, vedic scriptures, Hindu mythology, natural health, and Jyotish in many countries like Uruguay, Argentina, USA, Chile, Canada, Spain, Austria, Bahamas, India, Brazil, Bolivia, and others.
He got a certification on Jyotish (levels 1 and 2) by the American College of Vedic Astrology in the USA. and is an approved teacher and tutor for such organization.
He has studied with Gary Gomes, Gangadhara Girish,
renowned vedic astrologer and president of the American Council
of Vedic Astrology, and Komilla Sutton, president
of the british asociation for Vedic Astrology.
He has also studied "Nada Yoga" the yoga of sound and music, and performs classical Indian music specializing on Tabla, percussion instrument, being a disciple of Tabla master Pandit Swapan Choudury.
In his long practice and study of Yoga and Vedanta philosophy, Krishna recognizes the value of vedic astrology, as a tool to give a better guidance on the spiritual journey.
He introduces Vedic Astrology as a help to understand the karmic situation of each individual, and to recognize the past tendencies, potential talents or obstacles, integrating it with the knowledge of Yoga and Vedanta as a practical method toward self-knowledge and illumination.
